We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR professional to join our organization in Maputo, Mozambique.
The Director Human Resources is responsible for the management of an effective Human Resources Department. The core objective is to achieve key organizational objectives, related contractual obligations, and minimum group HR standards. This role requires providing strategic leadership to both the department and the organization as a whole. Crucially, the Director will champion corporate strategies locally.
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) and indirectly to the Regional HR Director (HRD).

- Caring: Responsible for management of employees (e.g., time and attendance, performance, training and development, discipline, employee support and assistance). Facilitate the people management process as part of a high-performance pro-active culture.

- Teamwork: Develop and maintain positive relationships with other employees to promote teamwork. Manage strategic relations with management, employees, human resources team, joint venture, client, and community.
- Integrity: Ability to conduct him/herself in accordance with the accepted work ethic and value system of the organisation. Provide direction and advice on compliance with relevant HR employee benefit administration, industrial relations, employee development, and general human resources policies.
- Agility: Develop and implement HR strategy which is responsive to the needs of an organisation. Manage projects and interventions within the department.
- Innovation: Focus strategically on creating an organisation in line with best practices. Manage implementation of policies and procedures.
- Reliability: Oversee day-to-day running of the department.
Additional Key Functions Include: Manage the HR Business Plan , manage finances and budgets , oversee day-to-day routines and procedures within the Department , form part of senior management and employee relations meetings , and act as a member of the salary negation team.
Minimum Requirements
- Language: English proficiency is essential
- Education: 3-Year Diploma/Degree in Human Resources / Behavioral Science.
- Experience (Technical / Professional): 8–10 year Human Resources experience, with experience in a labor intensive environment being essential.
